Eli Roth on "Endangered Species" and "Thanksgiving"

Eli Roth on "Endangered Species" and "Thanksgiving"Submit Comment
Director Eli Roth is almost finished writing scripts for two new movies that he has packed together and is planning to shop around to the studios in hopes of getting $85 million for the pair.

First is a PG-13 monster sci-fi thriller that he told Empire is called "Endangered Species." "It's going to be something that is really fun with lots of mass destruction," he said. "I wanted to do something along the lines of 'Transformers' or 'Cloverfield' that was a little more science fiction-based, and with lots of chaos and mass destruction."

The second movie will be based on his "Thanksgiving" trailer from "Grindhouse," which he said he will shoot in a similar fashion to "Nation's Pride," a short film within "Inglourious Basterds."

"I just want to go, go, go. Get as much footage, and as many kills as possible, and not be self-conscious," he said. "Because when you're moving at that speed, you're not thinking, you're just feeling and you're going on instinct. And that's where the best stuff comes from."

sometimes, REALLY great stuff takes time and concentration and planning...and sometimes as danny devito says in 'matilda'...'of course some great ideas just jump out at you'...but the best stuff doesn't always come moving at a fast pace...i should know...i've made enough sh*tty beats

Thanksgiving trailer looked good but he's still a douche. I hate him for stalling Cell, but love him for dropping it. Now maybe a better director can make Cell. Maybe Frank Darabont?

Eli Roth owns. I can't wait for either of these. Now I just need Werewolf Women on The SS and Don't, and my dream will be complete.
