|
The official poster for the upcoming fourth installment in the "Final Destination" franchise, showing off its 3-D aspect. It was previously announced that the film would go head-to-head with the "Halloween" sequel, but according to the poster, New Line Cinema may want to change the release date to earlier in August.
Plot: After a teen's premonition of a deadly race-car crash helps saves the lives of his peers, Death sets out to collect those who evaded their end.
David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Plane), who helmed the second installment, will direct the horror-thriller which is budgeted at $43 million.

I'm probably in the minority but I think the series is fun to watch. Mind you they are not great movies but I have seen them more than once and not gotten tired of them.

This series kicks ass for creativity. The concept was compelling and the sequels delivered plenty of imaginative death scenes. I LOVE how a bunch of random and unrelated objects trigger one another so the most mundane thing kills you off. It's been a very rewarding horror series- and I think we can thank James Wong for that. I mean maybe in 20 years movie goers will finally realize how impressive it is to make an entertaining masked killer movie without showing either in a single frame.
