"Prison Break" Star Joins "Bioshock"Posted: May 27th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
"Pirates of the Caribbean" director Gore Verbinski recently announced that he won't return for the fourth installment so he can focus on a big screen adaptation of the "Bioshock" video game.
It was then revealed that the project had to be put on hold while everyone figured out how to make the film on a smaller budget. Going outside of the US to shoot it is one option being considered.
Now, "Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller has posted a message on his Twitter page hinting that he will be joining "Bioshock" in some way. "Prison Break may be ending, but I've got things in the works," he said. "Hint... one word: Bioshock."

What's with all these talented directors taking on video game adaptations? First, Peter Jackson with "Halo" (which was scrapped), then Mike Newell with "Prince of Persia", now Gore Verbinski with "Bioshock". Doesn't someone have to first prove that you could make a DECENT film out of a video game?

Wow, I don't think I have seen him in anything but Prison Break. Looking forward to see him tackle the project. This game was the tits! I hope they keep the art deco!

I'm actually holding out hope that this will turn out good. If nothing else, at least I can hopefully look forward to it being a very pretty movie.
