Joss Whedon Comments on "Buffy" Reboot

Joss Whedon Comments on "Buffy" RebootSubmit Comment
We recently reported that Vertigo Entertainment is working on a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reboot, which will be produced by Fran Rubel Kuzui, who helmed the first movie and owns the rights to the franchise.

The new "Buffy" film will not have any connections to the TV series and will not have Joss Whedon involved, even though he's credited with creating the characters. So what does Whedon think about this?

EW had the chance to ask Whedon just that by email. His reply was simple. "I hope it's cool," he said, hinting that he does not plan to be apart of this reboot in any way.

Even though it must be tough to see his baby be put in the hands of other people, Whedon is not struggling for work. His "Dollhouse" TV show has been renewed and he is currently wrapping up his "Cabin in the Woods" horror film.

Dollhouse is the sh*t. JW's letting them go ahead with that Buffy reboot cause he knows it's a win win for him. If it goes good, he'll still get credit for introducing the world to Buffy. If it goes bad, everyone'll be like "Should of let Joss handle it"

Whedon has enough talent to come up with new and better things- when he's done with projects he moves on. It's called creativity. Why go back?
