Johnny Depp Confirmed for "Don Quixote" FilmPosted: May 23rd, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Terry Gilliam has revealed that his "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" film, which he had to abandon because of a series of mishaps, is back on and shooting is expected to begin early next year.
Speaking from the Cannes Film Festival, Gilliam added that he has spoken to Johnny Depp and he's happy to announce that Depp will return to the project.
The filmmaker had begun shooting the flick in 2000 but had to shut down the production after a few days when a freak storm washed away equipment and co-star Jean Rochefort took ill. Gilliam went through a prolonged legal battle to regain rights to the script, which passed to an insurance company that had to cover investors' losses on the aborted movie.
The director says he is now trying to "get the money and get the bodies" to start production again.

It's going to cost a shitload of money to make, it's going to take seven years to film, Depp is going to die half-way through the movie, then it will release to mixed reviews and it will tank at the box office. Am I on to something here?
