"The Brothers Bloom" is currently playing in theaters and is getting decent reviews. To get you to see the flick, Summit Entertainment has made available a download of the Director Audio Commentary. The idea is for you to download it onto your iPhone or MP3 player, grab your headphones and then listen to the movie with the commentary while you watch it on the big screen.

You can download the commentary by clicking on the link below. But is anyone planning to actually do this, especially if it's your first time seeing the film?

"The Brothers Bloom" revolves around a family of con men (Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo) who plot their last job. The one thing they won't factor in is the resourcefulness of the millionaire (Rachel Weisz) they have targeted.

What, i go to the theatre to watch and listen to a film, not the director talk about how he found it hard to film this scene!

I have an iPhone and I think this is the dumbest idea ever. Why would you listen to commentary before actually watching the movie the first time? R-tarded.

i already saw this at a local film festival in orange county about a month ago so maybe if i could find a theater around playing it

from what i can remember...they tried to do the same thing with clerks 2....smith and mews recorded a commentary you could listen to while watching the movie inside the theater...but they never released it... it's the 3rd or 4th commentary on the dvd i think.

dumbest idea ever. Who'd want to intentionally have someone talking all through a movie?!?!?
telur writes:

i never hear commentary
masKritic writes:

No not at all. this movie seems like it'll have a dumb commentary anyway. the only commentary i fully enjoyed was Tropic Thunder's. It was funnier than the movie.

I BET IF THEY DID THIS FOR A MOVIE LIKE THE DARK KNIGHT PEOPLE WOULD DO IT! I GUARANf*ckinTEE. IT MAY EVEN BOOST DVD SALES, GOOD MARKETING STARTAEGY BUT WRONG MOVIE.

Kevin Smith already did this with the last Clerks

They just want an excuse why people flip on their ipods during the movie..."No it's not that they don't the movie- they're uh- um...listening to the commentary"
synthetic1985 writes:

now that's just dumb...unless they didn't hear about kevin smith's attempt on that...haha they were thinking 'maybe if we waited a couple years, people will open up to it?'....f*ck NO! lol....commentaries belong on dvd/blu ray....end of story
