Cast Signs for Ninth "Scrubs" Season

Cast Signs for Ninth "Scrubs" SeasonSubmit Comment
Veteran comedy "Scrubs" is inching closer to a return for a ninth season on ABC with most of the main cast members locked in to return.

Star Zach Braff (JD Dorian) has closed a deal to come back for six episodes to transition the show to its new set-up, which is still being worked out. Also signed for six episodes is Sarah Chalke (Elliot Reid).

Donald Faison (Chris Turk), John C. McGinley (Perry Cox) and Neil Flynn (Janitor) have all closed deals to continue as regulars in second position to their pilots. Meanwhile, Judy Reyes (Carla Espinosa) has not been approached for a deal but may appear as a guest star if "Scrubs" is renewed.

It is still not clear if "Scrubs" would continue as a single-camera comedy or would switch to a multi-camera format or a hybrid single/multi setup.

ABC and creator Bill Lawrence had said they envision the show continuing with a mix of original cast members and some of the interns introduced this past season.

The show was suppose to be the journey of Zach's character becoming a full fledged Dr....and the ups and downs of that. This journey is done, and has been for a season or so now. Please end this. One of my former favorite shows, but it's looking like a car wreck now.

Scrubs is soooo stu..... you know what, if I diss Scrubs because I don't get it. I'll be no better than the people who diss Madea films just because they don't get it. Personally I think(well actually know) that the show SUCKS, but if yall like it and want to see it come back a ninth time. Good for you.Whos me to question what's wrong with your funny bone. Enjoy

It struggled on both NBC & ABC now they want to bring it back so they can cut it midseason like all the other complete failures.
