Jim Carrey's "I Love You Phillip Morris" Gets a Release Date

Jim Carreys I Love You Phillip Morris Gets a Release DateSubmit Comment
UK's Times Online recently reported that Jim Carrey's "I Love You Phillip Morris" may end up going straight to DVD, because distributors believe that mainstream audiences will find the movie too gay.

Now, Variety has learned that "Phillip Morris" has been acquired for domestic distribution by Consolidated Pictures Group, which set a Valentine's Day (February 14th, 2010) release date for the film.

In the movie, Carrey plays Steven Russell, a married policeman from Texas, who comes out of the closet and then becomes a conman to fund his flamboyant gay lifestyle. He is sent to prison, where he meets and falls in love with Morris (Ewan McGregor). Following Morris' release, Russell escapes from prison four times to be reunited with him.

I was super excited for this movie, why did they have to go and make it uber gay! True story about a fascinating homo, this could of been done really well, and when they say to gay? do they mean like milk X 5 gay, or like showgirls gay? Or Like Bababooey first pitch gay?
