A full-length trailer for the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures film "The Princess and the Frog" appeared online. It features news footage from the movie and a look at the villain, who is a witch doctor.

The new movie is a musical set in New Orleans, the legendary birthplace of jazz. Audiences will be introduced to the newest Disney princess, Tiana (Anika Noni Rose), a young African-American girl living amid the charming elegance and grandeur of the fabled French Quarter. From the heart of Louisiana's mystical bayous and the banks of the mighty Mississippi comes an unforgettable tale of love, enchantment and discovery with a soulful singing crocodile, voodoo spells and Cajun charm at every turn.

"Princess and the Frog" is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, whose past work includes "The Little Mermaid," "Aladdin" and "Hercules." At this point, their new movie is scheduled to be released on December 11th.

I'm glad they're going back to hand drawn format for once! I miss that style. The Pixar stuff is great but you can't replicate the look of the stuff by hand.

Okay, I'm probably going to skip this movie if the Princess is a frog the entire film. It looks that way. That's a terrible idea.

could be worse....but it looks better than lilo and stitch i have to say...and this is crazy but...i don't think they have made mickey mouse his own personal movie yet....i mean, a goofy movie...where's donald duck's?....or at least another duck tales movie?...that'd be so sick...anyway at least they haven't thrown away cartoon drawings

Unless I am mistaken, this will be the first film overseen by John Lassater at Disney. I have a seething hatred for all things modern Disney, but this MAY be the film that restores some of my faith in them. MAY be.... I'll tell you in December... But it does LOOK absolutely beautiful. The first Disney movie that started to favor art over story was Pocahauntas and if this movie is half as good as that one, I'll be impressed.
