Official "Saw VI" Plot RevealedSubmit Comment
The sixth installment in the "Saw" franchise is scheduled to hit theaters on October 23rd and now, Lionsgate has released the official plot synopsis for the film.

Plot: Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw's legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw's grand scheme is finally understood.

"Saw VI" is once again being written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (Saw IV, Saw V) and is directed by Kevin Greutert, who was the editor on all previously installments.

The cast includes Costas Mandylor as Hoffman, Mark Rolston (Saw V, The Departed) as FBI Agent Erickson, Betsy Russell as Jill, Tobin Bell as Jigsaw, Shawnee Smith as Amanda, and Peter Outerbridge (ReGenesis, Land of the Dead) as William.

And Cary Ewles as Dr. Gordon....? Relax, this IS the last film.... supposedly...

Maybe the last Theatrical Release but I'm sure it'll spawn many straight-To-DVD titles like the Hellraiser series did.

Please a good end to the franchise as its noble first installment. :) Not to mention to 2nd and 3rd movies, but 5th totally sucked! 6th should be a good strike.

Yes, the FINAL chapter...until it makes a sh*tload of money and the producers commission another one.

i'm sorry but i only watched 1 and 2....liked the first one better than 2...i figured 'that's enough' after watching 2...but i knew they were gonna do more...so i'll just do what i've been doing since then....focus on something else

Ummm excuse me? Ahuh plot? Just give us the traps and spare us the plot nonsense... we all know the plot sucks, we've forgiven it, we pay to see them anyways... get to the traps muddf*ckas.

still love these movies, some of the most brilliant horror-esque writing in the last 10 years or so.

These movies have plots?

this franchise is like a porn movie. Ridiculous number of sequels and nobody giving a sh*t about the plot or dialouge and fast forwarding to only see the action scenes!

thedotsays lol...that's so true...it gets tiring and then when they start a new franchise....they give it a sh*tload of unnecessary sequels....oh sure, the writer and director can look back 30 years and say it got them where they are now...but everyone else not involved, won't care or won't remember....or both
