Denzel Washington Re-Teams with Tony Scott for "Unstoppable"Posted: April 24th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
We previously reported that director Tony Scott (Man on Fire, Deja Vu) is moving on from his subway thriller (Taking of Pelham 123) to an action train drama called "Unstoppable." And who could possibly star in this new film?
Variety is reporting that Denzel Washington is now in negotiations to star for 20th Century Fox, which has put the film on a fast track for a fall production start.
Washington would play an experienced engineer who jumps in a locomotive with a young conductor to chase down a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, Race to Witch Mountain) wrote the script, which is loosely inspired by a true event.
