A new photo from the upcoming Mel Gibson thriller "Edge of Darkness," directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale), has been released. Click on the link below to check it out.

Plot: "Edge of Darkness" centers on a veteran cop (Gibson) whose only grown-up child (Bojana Novakovic) is murdered on the steps of his home. The cop unearths his daughter's secret life and discovers a world of corporate cover-ups and government collusion.

"He's a seasoned old detective," Gibson told Empire, "a bit hangdog. And he's in a state of shock for most of the film, because he's had tremendous trauma right at the beginning of it."

I've just watched The Patriot and We Were Soldiers recently. Mel Gibson could really be our era's John Wayne if he stops f*cking up. Let's hope he does.

He's one of the few that's good in everything he does.

Edge of Darkness is based on a classic 1980s British mini-series, still regarded as one of the best of all time. They'd have to work pretty hard to f*ck it up.

This is that movie that Robert Deniro was also in and then he dropped out because of "creative difference" right?

It seems Mel Gibson's lawyers have finally gotten around to telling the actor's alleged Russian mistress to put a lid on it. Last Wednesday, 24-year-old Russian pop singer Oksana Pochepa blabbed to British tabloid the Sun that she and Gibson had been seeing each other and the she hopes their "union [is] real and long-lasting." Gibson stands to lose $500 million to his wife Robyn in their divorce, and his lawyers nervously laughed their way to Russia yesterday to remind Pochepa that she's so pretty when she doesn't talk. Except, oops, Pochepa then gave a press conference to say she could no longer discuss hers and Gibson's relationship with the media. She told them she won't deny the affair, or pregnancy rumors (groan), but that "as soon as the divorce happens, I will be able to comment. He is a superb man. I have no choice except to keep silent now." ------- THE BITCH WAS TOLD TO SHUT UP... WHAT DOES SHE DO?! HOLDS A PRESS CONFERENCE TO TELL ALL SHE'LL NOT SHUT UP. WHAT A TWAT!

SORRY... I meant to type: 'She holds a press conference to say she WILL not shut-up.' My typo... but she's still a twat. Mel could nail anybody. He should pick someone a lot brighter!

LOL...(I'm on the phone while typing these...not into the Bailey's yet... I swear!' She says she WILL NOW shut up!' UGH! OK... off to drink!

Naw... his woman was probably keeping him busy too with her bitching about how he shouldn't sleep around either. What's with these women?!
