Michael Bay's Small Film is "Pain & Gain"Posted: April 20th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Last week, director Michael Bay revealed to MTV News that he will make a small-budget film before he begins work on "Transformers 3." Apparently, many of you still don't know what the film will be about, even though Bay has already revealed the details back in 2007.
Bay's new movie is based on a 1999 Miami Heard article called "Pain & Gain" about criminal bodybuilders. Here is how the story is being described: "They were local bodybuilders with a penchant for steroids, strippers and quick cash. And they became experts in the use of a particular motivational tool: Torture."
Paramount recently announced that "Transformers 3" will be released on July 1st, 2011, but Bay pushed the date back to 2012. Since two years passed after the first "Transformers," I can only assume that Bay won't take more than a year to complete "Pain & Gain." Thus expect it to hit theaters sometime next year.

He should pick a clearer title. I assumed it was about Rosie O'Donnell getting fatter, going Lesbo and eating a fibrous breakfast... and those around her having to endure that aftermath.

sleepcheap...how do you know this movie won't just have poorly-done, cheap software CGI explosions?

Oh, Jesus-tapdancing-Christ, anyone want to bet that this WON'T be an overstylized, oversaturated torture porn film? I mean, the synopsis pretty much spells it out, and after all the shitty horror remakes he's produced, I guess Bay wanted to direct.

If he is getting real
Bodybuilders for actors this is going to be the worst movie ever, hahaha. I have no idea how he would cast this. Real actors aren't going to be able to put on enough size in less then a year. This sounds disastourous.

Sounds a whole lot like "Muscle"- the book that Rise of the Footsoldier is based on.
