No "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" SequelSubmit Comment
Bloody-Disgusting caught up with "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" director Patrick Lussier, who revealed that Lionsgate has no interest in making a sequel to the film, which is a remake of the classic '80s movie.

He added that Axel Palmer (Kerr Smith) was the killer in the first draft of the screenplay and that there will be 30 minutes of deleted scenes and an alternate ending in the DVD/Blu-ray release, which is set to hit stores on May 19th.

"My Bloody Valentine 3-D" revolves around Tom Hanniger (Jensen Ackles), who returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, however, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and it seems like his old flame (Jaime King) is the only one will believes he's innocent.

This movie was a trainwreck and I actually blame the director on this one. The cuts at the end are terrible, btw, and the whole move was just tedious. Had it not been in 3D, I wouldn't have made it through. The opening was fantastic and I though we were in for something good but they really should have just stopped after the first ten minutes.

I liked it a lot. It was a fun slasher flick. Thought Jensen Ackles, whom I'm a big fan of his work in the CW series Supernatural, did a very good job. Some really suspenseful moments and I liked the ending. That said, perhaps it's best that there is no sequel. The mystery is gone now. We know who the killer is. Some movies don't need a sequel and despite the fact that the ending of My Bloody Valentine left the door open for a sequel, it just isn't needed.
