Sacha Baron Cohen Apologized to Madonna for "Bruno" Movie

Sacha Baron Cohen Apologized to Madonna for "Bruno" MovieSubmit Comment
Several years before American audiences knew Sacha Baron Cohen for his Ali G, Borat and Bruno characters, the actor was seen as a limousine driver in Madonna's music video "Music." But that didn't stop him from making fun of Madonna in his upcoming "Bruno" film about a gay Austrian fashion correspondent.

In the recently released trailer for the new movie, Cohen is seen picking up an African baby out from an airport baggage carousel and then turning to the camera stating: "Angelina's got one, Madonna's got one, now Bruno's got one."

In 2006, Madonna welcome a Malawian baby David Banda into her family, but recently had her application to adopt 3-year-old Mercy James turned down by a court in the country.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Cohen has reached out to the signer to apologize for his joke about the sensitive situation. "Sacha is always out to make great comedy - and if he upsets people along the way, so be it," said the paper's source. "But when word reached him that Madonna thought his sketch was insensitive, he sent her a bouquet of flowers to say, 'No hard feelings'."

Haha. No hard feelings. Thanks for making my career and then not saying anything publicly when I stab you in the back. No hard feelings. Cohen is a genius, but not exactly a class act.

Don't think she had anything to do with "making" his career. Cohen did that on his own. He's friends with Madonna.

Didn't he make a joke at the Grammy awards about her? That was worse.

Yeah, Madonna had absolutely nothing to do with making his career. I think Madonna seems far too serious. She doesn't seem like she has any sense of humour or can laugh at herself at all. Plus, her music in recent years has been awful, and she kind of looks like an ogre.

I just think its funny that a woman, who's made a career the last few decades by making statements far worse than that ABOUT HERSELF- suddenly developed thin skin......"Oh boo hoo ya can't buy another immigrant baby and tease the maternal father with visitation privileges again while sopping up press- cry us a river."
