Dan Aykroyd Reveals "Ghostbusters 3" DetailsPosted: April 11th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
CHUD had a chance to speak to Dan Aykroyd about the upcoming third "Ghostbusters" film, which is currently being written by "The Office" scribes Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg.
"When we do the Ghostbusters 3 movie, hopefully, Sigourney [Weaver] will be in, I know. We'll make that happen," said Aykroyd about the fact that Weaver declined to participate in the new "Ghostbusters" game and was eventually replaced by Alyssa Milano as a new character.
He continued: "There will be a whole new generation that has to be trained. And that whole new generation will be led by an individual that you'll all love when you hear who it is, but I'm not going to tell you now. There will be lots of cadets, boys and girls, who'll be learning how to use the cyclotron, the accelerators, and the new stuff. The nuon splitter, the inter-planary interceptor, all these great tools they're going to have to flip from dimension to dimension."
The site added that since they couldn't ask any follow-up questions, it was difficult to figure out whether Aykroyd was talking about the movie or how the new video game leads into the movie.

It might be funny to have Sigourney Weaver be the instructor, kind of in Ripley mode.

I have a feeling that Oscar, Dana's son, might play a role in this somehow, perhaps as a trainee. He would be about 20 now.

Jay Burachel as Oscar! No particular reason why, it was just the name that came to mind after reading the last comment.

Well, i'm guessing that there will be 4 new guys, ive got a feeling that Maybe Seth Rogen, Steve Carral and maybe Paul Rudd could take leads as believed many months ago.......but who here would like to see Jeremy Piven as a ghostbuster...that would be A-Class

I have a really, really weird feeling that Jack Black is going to be in this...
...Better than Seth, anyway.
