Michael Myers Will be Maskless for Most of "Halloween 2"Posted: April 8th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Some of the photos that we have seen from the set of the upcoming Rob Zombie directed "Halloween" sequel, feature Michael Myers (Tyler Mane) without a mask and with a pretty heavy beard.
According the make-up FX person Wayne Toth, Myers will spend at least 70% of the film without a mask. "That's Michael's new look for a lot of the film," he said. "Fans will be shocked."
The film is set two years after the first installment. During that time, Myers has been living in the wild and exposed to the elements, but he eventually puts on the mask.
"There are a couple different versions of the mask, but none of them are the same mask from the first film," said Toth. "Towards the end of the film is the current version of the mask which is a lot different from any of them we've seen. People are going to be surprised when they see it. It's going to thrown the Myers fans for a loop."
The site added that the trailer for the sequel is set to appear in front of "Crank 2: High Voltage," which hits theaters on April 17th.

fans are going to be shocked?...lol...i was already shocked when rob zombie committed to a 2nd film after clarifying that he wouldn't return for it....even more so that they put SO much depth and drama over something that doesn't really need it....waste of money and pure original creativity as well as talent if you ask me

Watch, he'll run into and kill Leonard Nimoy (not Shatner), skin his face then die it mauve before putting it on. All this happens after a nice shave from his favorite neighborhood barber.

i'm just thankful that john carpenter originally created this franchise and that whatever direction rob zombie takes with it won't matter cuz it's only his version of it...and yet, the thing about his mask in the original first movie is what made it so interesting to see what his face looked like

Meh- can't be going anywhere worse than the convoluted and completely abandoned cult storyline that couldn't be wrapped up with several installments that came before the remake...I thought it wouldnt work showing the boys face the whole time and it did. It may only be "Halloween" in name only, but I still think its a good movie besides once you unbunch your elitist fanboy nuts.

well that kinda sucks, the mask is what makes those Michael Myers movies Michael Myer movies, without it, it will just seem like some crazy guy with a beard running around killing people lol

He won't have the beard b/c he didn't have it in the first one so that's a plus. Not sure what to think of this yet. Maybe fear the man and not the mask.
