Christian Bale Joins Mark Wahlberg in "Prisoners" ThrillerPosted: April 4th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
THR is reporting that Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, Terminator Salvation) is now attached to the dark thriller "Prisoners," which stars Mark Wahlberg (The Departed, Max Payne) and is set to be directed by Bryan Singer (Usual Suspects, Superman Returns).
Plot: After his 6-year-old daughter and her friend are kidnapped, a small-town carpenter butts heads with a young, brash detective in charge of the investigation. The father is a Bible-reading, deer-hunting survivalist. The cop, meanwhile, can't wait to get to the city. Feeling failed by the law, the father captures the man he believes responsible and begins to torture him in a desperate attempt to find out what he did with the girls, whom he's convinced are still alive.
Endeavor is currently putting everything together with plans of shopping the package around town. Apparently time is an issue, since the film has yet to be financed and the Bale/Wahlberg combination is extremely fragile.

ok, i assume Wahlberg is the cop and Bale is the Father, so with Singer directing, this has the potential to be good.

Wahlberg is the Dad(first person to be attached to this movie), Bale the cop. This is the "hottest script in Hollywood" that was previously reported. I hope Whalberg kicks Bale's ass if he pulls any of that asshole shit on this set! Bale is a DICK!!!

@ OLK - thats what I'm assuming also because Bale comes off being more suited for the badass brash father but in all this sounds like it'll be good

acslaterson....what??...this is the hottest script they were talking about?....haha...well like wahlberg said before...'transforming it into the hottest movie will be a challenge'...or something similar to that...and even if it reaches that point...doesn't mean it'll stay hot forever
