Tim Robbins is NOT Howard Stark in "Iron Man 2"Submit Comment
Last year, LatinoReview stated that Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption) would play Tony Stark's father, Howard Stark, in the upcoming "Iron Man" sequel. The site claimed that he would appear in an "important flashback sequence that is going to set up the 'Avengers' and 'Captain America' films."

Now, ReelTalk caught up with Robbins, who denied his participation in the new film. "That was an internet rumor," he said. "Can't trust those internets."

Robbins was initially rumored as a replacement for the previous actor who portrayed the Howard Stark, because "Iron Man 2" director Jon Favreau "wanted to get a good actor because he didn't think the guy who played Howard in the last film could carry such an important scene."

I wonder if Stark's Dad creates and gives Fury the Infinity Formula in the 40's? While doing this maybe a mention of Weapon I(Look him up if you don't know who it is :-))?
