Judd Apatow's Slasher Film Gets Title and StarPosted: March 31st, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

Chud had the chance to speak to Bill Hader (Superbad), who revealed some information about the upcoming Judd Apatow-produced slasher film. According to Hader, he will star as Joel in the movie, which is being co-written by Simon Rich ("SNL").
The current title is "House of Joel," but Apatow Productions may end up changing it. The company was first considering going with "When a Stranger Calls a Dude," but abandoned the idea when they realized that the killer never calls Joel (Hader).
Here is how Hader described the film during Sundance: "It is definitely about guys nowadays, that idea that you watch f*cked up sh*t on TV, how violence in our culture - this sounds really hoity toity - you watch f*cked up reality shows, I love true crime shows. The idea of that thing coming to your house, and what do you do? I would sh*t my pants. That's basically what the movie is about. What if that guy decided to come to your house? What would you and your dipsh*t friends do about it?"

This was Hader's first. It was always his, he pitched it. The headline should read, "Bill Hader's Slasher Film Gets Title".
