First Look: Nicolas Cage in "Sorcerer's Apprentice"Posted: March 27th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Thanks to JustJared, we now have several photos of Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel on the New York set of the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures' "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," which is a modern-day, New York City-set adaptation of the classic story from "Fantasia."
Plot: A sorcerer (Cage) leaves his workshop in the hands of his apprentice (Baruchel), who gets into trouble when the broomstick he's tasked to do his chores for him somehow develops a mind of its own. Teresa Palmer (Bedtime Stories) will play Baruchel's love interest. Alfred Molina will play an evil sorcerer.
The new film is directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure) and is scheduled to hit theaters on July 16th, 2010.

That actually doesn't look THAT bad for a modern-day reality version of Mickey's Fantasia film.

At end of 2008, we began business relationship with Incantation
Productions, Inc based on The Sorcerer's Apprentice movie. We have
provided a number of antiques that were used as movie props; such as:
original antique scrolls, daggers, swords, African and Asian art
crafts, and more. Incantation Productions, Inc also purchased an
original first American edition of A. Waite's The Book of Black Magic.
This book served as inspiration for the creation of the Sorcerer's Book
of Magic which is one of the essential pieces in the movie's story.
