Amazing "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" ClipSubmit Comment
The first clip from the upcoming "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" has been released, showing both Wolverine and Sabretooth fighting in three major wars, with an obvious advantage.

Leading up to the events of "X-Men," the new spin-off movie tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is directed by Gavin Hood (Tsotsi, Rendition) and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1st, 2009.

I admit, it looks awesome, but still worried, they could devote 3 hours just to this, and there telling us the whole movie is just over a 1,5 hour mark, scared.

Special effects are a bit much on blur or haziness for their own good. Plus the whole talk around the water cooler of Logan & Creed being brothers is horrible. Why does this film feel like it was partial inspired by Universal Soldier? This movie is going to annoy my inner childhood & insult comic history as I know and remember it.

Come on people! Quit complaining about comic continuity for a main stream movie! I love the comics but I also like seeing these heroes on the big screen. The current run in the Wolvie main comic is "Old Man Logan", set in an alternate future. They had the whole 2099 X-Men and Spiderman runs like 10 years ago set in an alternate future. Marvel has a "What If" series. They also retcon things all of the time (Brand New Day anyone?)! Would I like to see a straight out of the comics Wolvie movie with the orange spandex suit? Hell yeah I would! But would the majority of movie goers? No. And that is who these movies are made for, the general public. So chillax and be happy that a clawed guy will be up on the big screen fighting a fat guy who can take out a tank, a guy who can throw kinetically charged cards, and a hybrid Weapon XI who shoots laser beams out of his eyes!

acslaterson....it still doesn't mean that they could've done better...and with the magneto prequel coming up....doesn't look like fox cares even the littlest bit for fans...instead of doing spin off movies...they should make x-men 4 and salvage what they ruined

maybe they coulda done better with keeping the original story lines from the comics but it still looks amazing
