No Kurt Russell in "The Expendables"

No Kurt Russell in "The Expendables"Submit Comment
Sylvester Stallone recently announced that he will be replacing Forest Whitaker with Terry Crews (Idiocracy) rather than 50 Cent in his upcoming "The Expendables" film. Crews will be joining a cast already comprised of Stallone, Randy Couture, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Many believe that Stallone should also offer Chuck Norris and Mr. T small parts in the movie. And while that has yet to happen, Stallone has already approached his "Tango and Cash" co-star Kurt Russell. Here is what he said on StalloneZone:

"I know that many people on the site have asked for Kurt Russell. I asked for him too. Actually, I was taken aback when asked to put the request in a letter and send it to his agent. Subsequently, I was called back by the agent several days later after refusing to send a letter and he said Kurt Russell is not interested in 'ensemble acting' at this time. So, people, I came, I saw, I failed."

So no Kurt Russell and no Jean-Claude Van Damme.

What all this casting news is showing is that Stallone is listening to the fans. So who else would you want to appear in the movie? Steven Seagal, Bruce Willis? My vote is for Chuck Norris.

Eh this movie's gonna have no actual plot but all action and all tough guys. That's it. Nothing else. Just a movie that stamps big name actors on it.

bruce willis, ron perlman, jesse ventura, john cena, the rock, jensen ackles, and robert downey jr. best people ever.

well it's got enough good actors to be worthy of its money....like mars attacks, it too had a lot of big name stars...and it's nice to see actors like stallone being very passionate to fans who probably speak for the whole 'public audience' basically...cuz that's not ripping off our low income...movies like 'dragonball: evolution' however, do....speaking of which...went to a friend's house last night and he said the funniest thing about dragonball...'what a horribly done movie, they get this american looking guy with a fancy hairdo, put an orange jacket on him, and all of a sudden HE....is goku?...f*cking retarded'...i almost feel sorry for the guy playing goku cuz he's gonna have a lot of fans...unwanted fans that is

THE ROCK! DEFINITELY! He needs to get back in a good action movie! It also would be cool to see Chuck Norris in a feature again, and this is probably the only scenerio in which that would happen.

Mark Dacascos,Michael Biehn,Craig Bierko, Ray Park (as some kind of mexican ninja or something), and Mickey Rooney as Sgt. Slaughter

Get Sam Jackson to replace Terry Crews...Sam will do anything if the price is right...I'm pretty sure he hasn't actually read a script since 1995.

Kurt Russell would have been cool...Hell, all he would need to do is show in his Snake Plissken get-up and all those other MF's would just stand in awe and bow...

Chuck Norris!! Steven Seagal is fat and out of shape now! He has such a cult following cause of his famous "chuck norris facts" that have established him as the baddest mother f*cker that has, and will ever live . .ever!@

your dang right synthetic1985 about that stuff in your first comment especially the guy playing goku and people hating him it's going to be the same for Jaden in Karate Kid lol.

to be honest...i have watched several episodes of the cartoon...but never really took the time to watch more...and since mike judge wants to make beavis and butthead a live action film...that'll probably have the same chance that dragonball does...i mean...if mike judge doesn't voice over the two guys...it would suck....it was known for 1, the looks of the characters, 2, the way everyone spoke, and lastly, everything else about it...to take that 'everything about it' and try to apply it to live action film might be a waste of money....oh and btw waffle man...i just saw a tv spot on tv for dragonball earlier...there was a vivid shot where the guy was wearing all black, leather-type outfit, and another that showed his car, and the car looked like bumblebee from transformers...made me think...'ok...watchmen took a very interesting step, they didn't make everything in the movie based on modern day'...but they'll do that with x-men or spiderman, or the new batman or iron man?...geez...the shadow wasn't based in a 90s setting and look how well that did?

If it can be possible I would cast a young actor a good one would Mark Whalberg.. no offense to the other actors but many of them are quite old... and as for other tough guys I would kick out Crews and bring in... Michael Clarke Duncan and Bill Goldberg think about it Sly... those are major tough guys...

Vinnie Jones, Michael Biehn (would have to be in a the scene with Schwarzenegger), Marc Singer, Roddy Piper, Brian Bosworth, Michael Dudikoff, Peter Weller, Carl Weathers, Treat Williams, Lou Ferrigno and Cynthia Rothrock.
