Steven Spielberg Wraps "Tintin" ProductionPosted: March 22nd, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
LA Times is reporting that Steven Spielberg has recently wrapped 32 days of performance-capture on "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn," which was shot in Los Ageles.
Producer Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings) traveled from his New Zealand homebase to LA for rehearsals and the first week of shooting, and then appeared via a video conferencing setup for the rest of the shoot. At this point, Jackson is planning to begin work on the effects which are being created by his New Zealand-based effects house Weta.
After the first installment of "Tintin" is complete, Jackson will take over helming duties on the sequel, for which he will also do the effects. It will be interesting to see what Spielberg's involvement will be, if any.
The $120 million film is likely to appear in theaters sometime in 2011.

Spielberg signed a 18 film 36 month deal with INDIA. why, because it is cheap. 5cents on the dollar. him along with two handfuls of big name movies icons have turned their back on America and gave their business to another country. these liberals are twofaced. they are disgusting. I do not care what they have done to make us happy in the theaters. they are greedy and these contracts prove that. Hypercritics. I believe but do not quote me. Brad Pitt, Clooney are a few others. Its all about the dollar. When the American people are suffering. These people are no one to look up to. Just people to turn your back on.

"Hypercritics," eh? Leonard Martin on Red Bull. Learn how to use the English language properly and someone might listen to you (might being the key word). As for Tintin, I don't really care.

What the fuck does Spielberg being a republican have to do with anything. I don't care who he voted for and when. Basically Spielberg is greedy so is Lucas, look at indi 4. I am really looking forward to the tintin movie. Spielberg can still make a movie. Just nowhere near as good as he used to be though.

turnage76 has somewhat of a point. But the reasons why Hollywood is moving to Asia - cheap labor and exploitation.
