Christopher Nolan's Brother is Wanted for Murder

By now everyone knows of Christopher Nolan and his work which includes films like "Memento," "Batman Begins," "The Prestige" and "The Dark Knight." Some of you may also know that he often collaborates with his brother Jonathan, who has helped him put together scripts for some of his movies (The Prestige, The Dark Knight). But did you know that there is a third brother?

The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that Matthew Francis Nolan (40), the brother of Christopher and Jonathan, was under investigation by Chicago Police in a $700,000 bank-fraud scheme when FBI agents nabbed him last month in connection with a 2005 killing in Central America.

Matthew Nolan is wanted in Costa Rica in the kidnapping and murder of Florida businessman Robert C. Cohen. Here is what the Costa Rican authorities say happened:

Matthew Nolan pretended he was interested in doing business in Costa Rica when the two met in a hotel. But his real mission was to recover $7 million that Cohen owed another Florida man. An accomplice kidnapped Cohen and the men tried to extort the money from Cohen's family; but when that failed, they killed Cohen.

Matthew Nolan's alleged accomplice, Douglas Mejia, has been convicted. Nolan is being held in Chicago awaiting extradition proceedings. Sources said Chicago Police were investigating Matthew Nolan in an unrelated, $700,000 check-kiting scheme.

Chirs and Jonathan should pen a script for this story

"The Dark Knight" curse strikes again. 1. Stunt man 2. Heath Ledger 3. Christian Bale 4. Christopher Nolan (his brother hurting his reputation) 5. ?

This will not stop the third Batman film, so why do we even care?

Did you know that there's a fourth Nolan? His name is Todd and he works at a third-rate mortgage broker company. Last month his dog ate a box of nails and died. Pretty relevant sh*t, huh? Maybe the two film oriented Nolan's could make movies about his misadventures, or maybe they're on the right track and who cares what their obscure family members are doing.

These kind of things always get in the way of family members who are working on films. Look at Liam Neeson and Mark Ruffalo, they both had to take time off.

Sh*t, Nolan kill Cohen, so this is a Director`s War, you dont realize that...

I'm you masKritic, would make for some interesting Hollywood history. I've always thought it weird when families make it in something and someone in the family commits a crime or is broke. Weird.
