The NY Daily News is reporting that battered pop star Rihanna visited New York over the weekend to discuss roles in "The Bodyguard" remake and the third "Charlie's Angels" film.
In "The Bodyguard," Rihanna would be taking the role of Whitney Houston, while Channing Tatum (GI Joe) is currently rumored to take over for Kevin Costner. The new film is said to be a "young and sexy take."
"Before the situation with Chris, Ri was getting a lot of scripts. She's been wanting to do movies for a while now," said the paper's insider.
One other project she is considering is a film with Justin Timberlake, with whom she released her hit single "Rehab."

Donald Kaufman-True, Woman Beating as the act itself goes is not funny. However, It's done and over with and using humor helps people get through hard times. Hopefully, she can embrace some humor and good times from friends/family/supporters to get beyond what that jackass did to her. Now, will she have sense of humor about this right away?? No. but as a surivor of this horrible act, she will have to in some way of she'll never be free of it and he wins...I can tell u first hand as a surivor of 2 IED attacks in Iraq that u have to be able to laugh and joke at hardships in hardships order to get past them, learn from them and be better because of it...just a thought...

Women beating is not a joke, and granted my comment may have been in bad taste. it was directed more at the idea of remaking bodyguard, and to add insult to injury casting someone like rihanna as the lead, perhaps something with talent would be better. Or perhaps hollywood could at least attempt to come up with a new idea for a change

The Bodyguard should not be remade. Rihanna should not be in it as she's not an actress, nor is she attractive, nor is she a good singer. The Charlie's Angels movies were terrible, and there really shouldn't be a third. And yeah, domestic violence is funny at times.
