Tom Cruise Working On "Mission Impossible 4"

Tom Cruise Working On "Mission Impossible 4"Submit Comment
Just four months after "Mission Impossible III" hit theaters, Brad Pitt was rumored to replaced Tom Cruise in the fourth installment in the franchise, which would make him the highest-paid actor in history with a salary topping $40 million.

An insider told London Lite: "MI:IV will not include Cruise's character, agent Ethan Hunt. They're considering a brief mention, saying Hunt retired to live a safe life with his new wife. They're set on Brad taking over as a gutsy new head operative who puts together his own unique team of specialists."

Apparently, there is very little truth to that since Cruise recently revealed on a Japanese show that he has started work on the new film already and is currently focusing on putting together a story. [via AICN]

So there you have it, no Pitt, just more of Cruise.

The rumor about Brad Pitt replacing Tom Cruise came out when it was 4 months old. The news that he wont is what this post is about.

@dwightschrute: Man thats a great idea you should tell Tom about it maybe he'll ask Brad then :D that would be awesome.

And the idiot award goes to PARASYTE!!! Stay in school or go back to one.

The only reason the third was good was because of Philip Seymour Hoffman. The only reason the fourth will be good is if its Pitt and Cruise.

He was retired in third film... so he's gonna be retired, again?? Let him rott in hell.

here's a mission for him...see if he can an entire movie without running...that one seems impossible to me...

I don't think he ran in Valkyrie(sp), hahaha. Why would they replace a 40 something with another 40 something? Have Cruise recruit and train a new agent in his 20s, there you go. First 40 minutes of a 2 hour movie.

Have him train Katie...I don't think he could run in Valkyrie...That eye patch made it hard...the depth-preception thing...Would suck to keep running into walls...lol.

I thought Cruise fell out with Paramount and Worst previews reported Cruise's up coming movies some weeks ago . Mi4 wasn't on there.

Gunslinger, its sad to say, but i think Cruise could beat the sh*t out of me or anyone else here

for some reason i only like cruise as len grossman
Gunslinger writes:

JRprime, anyone who didn't like him as Len Grossman has no pulse. If that's not a serious display of an actor's range, I don't know what is. That was way better than Frank TJ Mackie.
