George Miller Says "Justice League" is Still On

George Miller Says "Justice League" is Still OnSubmit Comment
The way Marvel is handling their own films is very different from how Warner Bros is doing with the DC Comics' characters.

Marvel decided to first give each superhero their own movie before bringing them all together in "The Avengers." Warners wanted to go down the opposite path, by making "Justice League of America" first, and then start working on Wonder Woman, The Green Lantern and Flash movies. What's worse, both Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and Christian Bale (The Dark Knight) would not reprise their Superman and Batman roles in "JLA."

Now, director George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet) has revealed to MTV News that he is still attached to helm "Justice League" and that Warners has abandoned their approach. Instead the studio will go down the Marvel route, by giving each character their own movie before bringing them all together.

"I'm still attached to the film," said Miller. "Warner Bros is waiting to develop the other characters a little bit and then bring 'Justice League' together. After the success of [The Dark Knight], it's well known that they will develop the other characters and then bring them together in 'Justice League." That's a fair way down the track."

Do you think Warner Bros made the right decision by following Marvel's strategy?

It doesn't matter. DC is always going to play catch-up with marvel. I could really care less about a JLA movie.

i agree...i don't care when it's done...i just care that they stay true to the comics as far as them being movies is concerned...they have the technology to pull anything off on screen...back then it was acceptable cuz they couldn't pull it off with technology at that time...but nowadays like fox with x-men, there's just no excuse

Well seems like it WILL EVENTUALLY get made but like a release in the year 2030 on any scale of hope that is. I want it to happen but at this point who really does care?

Yeah f*cking right, could you imagine Green Lantern swooping down in the hospital scene of The Dark Knight and containing the blast with his ring? I would look stupid and ridiculous as sh*t! I love Nolan's movies but no way they would fit into the bigger DC Universe!

Jesus H, I'm so friggin over this movie. Let it die like the comic did. Final Crisis was just, ugh.

JLA is going to ruin every comic movies ever made and the ones in the developing... They don't know what the f*&# they're doing.

Nobody even cares about Wonder Woman or Martian Man Hunter. Just give us more Batman, Superman, and some Green Lanturn and never mix them up.

Yeah, you can't really bring these guys together. I think the movie would be awful and unrealistic. Lets face it, Batman with Superman is a stupid move. If a villian gives Superman a tough fight, what in the hell is Batman going to do. Leave them on their own.

Stupid! Its crap when Bale and Routh's heros work alone, so they get new inexperienced actors to play them in a film. Stupid idea!
