David Wain in Talks for "Meet the Parents 3"Posted: March 10th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

The third installment in the "Meet the Parents" franchise, called "Little Fockers," is currently in the works. Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro and Owen Wilson are all set to reprise their roles and John Hamburg (Along Came Polly, I Love You Man) has signed on to write the script. Unfortunately Jay Roach, who helmed the first two films, has decided not to return.
So who will come on to replace Roach in the third installment, which will revolve around the Focker and the Byrnes families bracing themselves for the arrival of a baby.
One name that keeps popping up is David Wain, the director of last year's Paul Rudd comedy "Role Models." MTV News has a chance to speak to Wain and asked him if the rumors are true. "Discussions are being had," he confirmed.
Wain is a great guy and definitely has a unique brand of humor. Just watch old episodes of "The State" or check out the hilarious "The Ten" movie to see what I mean. But is he capable of making a PG-13 flick?

Sounds good, should be pretty funny - I've enjoyed the last two films and Wain sounds like a solid choice for director
