Who Will Helm Third "Twilight" Film?

Who Will Helm Third Twilight Film?Submit Comment
Summit Entertainment first hired Catherin Hardwicke to direct their "Twilight" film, which went on to become a global success. The studio then immediately began work on the sequel, but has decided to replace Hardwicke with Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass).

Now the franchise is attracting big name directors, with both Juan Antonio Bayona (The Orphanage) and James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma) requesting to helm the third installment. And even though Bayona and Mangold have credibility, the studio is looking to go in a slightly different direction... Drew Barrymore.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Summit is in-talks with Barrymore, who recently finished work on her directorial debut called "Whip It!," starring Ellen Page.

Twilight is a joke!....But i'd choose Drew Barrymore over David Yates anyday to direct Harry Potter.

i dunno the twilight series will not make a good movie series

I love David Yates' Potter movies. Theyre dark and mystical. I kinda wish he had directed them all. Then maybe the pile of shit that was PoA would of been better. But, anyway, Jesus couldn't make these movies worth watching.

Drew Barrymore....This makes all the sense in the world. Horrible books, crappy movies. Good luck with that.

We should get behind Drew only for the fact that she has limited directing experience and this might well kill this series. Hell, if your looking for a different direction get Billy Ray Cyrus to direct it or better yet Rosanne Barr.
