"Thor" Casting Call Reveals DetailsPosted: February 19th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
ComingAttractions has received a casting call notice for the lead role in the upcoming "Thor" movie, which reveals some of the physical and personality attributes Marvel is looking for in an actor.
Casting notice: "Male MUST BE MID-LATE 20'S and SIX FEET OR TALLER. LEAD. Physically powerful, very handsome, occasionally egotistical, petulant, and wild. A natural warrior with a quick charming wit who must be genuinely and severely humbled before becoming the compassionate, mature hero of our film."
This information comes directly from the production, which will obviously focus on the origins of the Norse god. The notice also added that filming will start in July and end in September.
Can you think of anyone who fits that description? Ryan Gosling's name was previously thrown around.

I second Kevin McKidd. They'd just need to get him on a decent mass building diet and workout regime for 6 months or so. He's got the acting chops and intensity to pull it off marvelously.

if he was 32-37.. it wouldn't feel much like an origins tale... but i do agree... he should age by the sequel and be 30's.

Triple H? Oh yeah, I could picture him in a labcoat, being a scientist. Come on! Get a real diverse actor here! Doesnt have to be a known. Cast a really great actor in the lead, then flush out the supporting roles with known actors.
