Liev Schreiber Joins Angelina Jolie in "Salt"Submit Comment
Liev Schreiber (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is in talks to star opposite Angelina Jolie in the spy thriller "Salt" for Columbia Pictures.

Story centers on Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer who is fingered as a Russian sleeper spy. She eludes capture by superiors who are convinced she is out to assassinate the president. While trying to reunite with her family, she struggles to prove someone else is the traitor.

Schreiber will play Salt's boss and friend on the Russian desk at the CIA. The Phillip Noyce-helmed pic begins lensing next month in New York.

Milk. Salt. Even the titles are starting to lack creativity. Oh and W. At least that title was iconic. You can almost watch Hollywood get lazier, like a time-lapsed video of rotting tulips.

when it comes to biopic films, one titled names are the most creative they need to be

WAIT A SECOND! Last time WP posted about this the movie was called Erika A Salt. Now its Evelyn?! WTF did this happen?

"when it comes to biopic films, one titled names are the most creative they need to be" That's very much a matter of opinion. I'd find more interested, even just a little, if they titled a biopic more interesting than the person's surname. Makes me yawn. Makes me rather read the Wikipedia article than pay to see the film. Salt. Next up, Pepa, the untold story of Sandra Denton, formerly of Salt-n-Pepa. Wow. I'm stoked. I liked the title Man on the Moon. That was interesting. And The Lion in Winter and The Cat's Meow. Biopics used to at least include the person's full name or start with the 'The Story of...', or the 'The Life of...'. Now, just the last name. That's the very boring pervasive trend.

Oh, and this movie isn't even a true biopic. It's a film about part of the life of a fictional CIA agent. They could have come up with something more creative, like Spy Game 2.

Actually, this film's called "Edwin A. Salt".
