"The Fugitive" is Being RemadeSubmit Comment
According to Production Weekly, Warner Bros is looking to remake the 1993 film "The Fugitive," which is based on a 60's TV series by the same name.

The original film revolves around Dr. Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford), who is sentenced to death for the murder of his wife. On the way to prison, Kimble escapes and sets out on a search for the real killer, while Marshal Samuel Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones) is tracking him down. "The Fugitive" earned over $360 million in worldwide ticket sales.

Five years later a sequel was released, entitled "US Marshals," focusing on Tommy Lee Jones' character chasing Mark Sheridan (Wesley Snipes), an accused murderer.

Some movies should just never be touched. This being one of them.

Leave "The Fugitive" alone. You can have "U.S. Marshals" instead. Go on, take it. Nobody gives a f*ck about that one. Hell, some of the original cast might even return (God know Snipes needs the work). But, please, leave "The Fugitive" unharmed.

Usually I have no problem with remakes, reboots etc. Im always on board but doing the fugitive is a waste of time. They tried it with US Marshals. There's not much you can do to take the story forward or make it different.

this is like saying George Lucas wants to remake the original Star Wars trilogy.....just leave it alone

lemme guess youre going to get zac efron as kimble and dane cook as gerard.....god dammit hollywood! leave classics alone!

All these remakes are starting to get on my nerves. "U.S. Marshals" was a masked remake of "The Fugitive" and we all saw how that turned out. Besides, a movie this recent and good hardly merits a remake.

Can we just have a remake section for this site? This is just stupid...

Some remakes I don't mind, when a very significant amount of time since the original was done has passed AND the original wasn't that strong of a film to begin with. The Fugitive, on the other hand, was (in most cases) a perfect film. Great cast, great directing, great pace, editing, etc. The film was and still is, phenomenal. There is absolutely no need to remake this one. If you can't make it better, don't make it at all - you will fail. But I really hope I don't have to keep hearing about other 90's films already being re-made. Next it'll be The Rock or Goodfellas. Please Hollywood. Stop.

if it's richard kimble as a character...might as well get harrison ford again...otherwise back the f off hollywood...darthraige is right...some movies should never be touched...and this movie was based on a popular series and the movie wouldn't have been as popular without none other than harrison ford and tommy lee jones...GREAT great cast...to remake this is movie is just beyond retarded and disgracing...they'd be better off with another sequel if that

This is stupid. The first film was excellent and should not not not be remade.

This remake madness is sounding like a joke already. Remaking old ones in a new scenario could make sense sometimes. This one is too recent for that. Plus, with so many movies that could be done better, why take one that doesn't have anything to be improved?

This is dumb. This is really dumb. I remember seeing The Fugitive at the cinema and I'm only 29! It was the same summer I saw Jurassic Park. You gonna remake that too now?

Why aren't they remaking Transformers? It's been long enough, hasn't it? Maybe they can still get the guy who did Optimus Prime...
