Christopher Nolan Signed for Batman 3Posted: February 17th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
It was recently announced that "The Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan will next be helming a sci-fi film called "Inception" for Warner Bros. If you're worried that this will somehow impact a third Batman movie, don't be.
Batman-on-Film has found out from three separate sources that Nolan's recent deal with Warners for the film "Inception" includes an agreement between the studio and himself to helm his second sequel to "Batman Begins."
This means that Warner Bros is more than happy to fund Nolan's "Inception" as long as he directs a third Batman film.
In addition, IGN has just found out that Nolan is the only screenwriter currently attached to Batman 3. Studios and guild members are required to submit work lists to the guilds of the projects that they are on. Warner Bros submitted a listing that shows Nolan as the sole writer. Apparently, neither Jonathan Nolan or David Goyer are officially involved yet.

That's good news...however, making a third one to top the last two is going to be difficult...good luck Nolan.

Nolan has said countless times he didn't know about doing a third movie because of how terrible they are most of the time, but I don't think he will fuck it up. It probably won't be better than the Dark Knight, but I'm willing to bet it will still be awesome.

Picture this: After the credits, Bruce Wayne walking through one of his corporate buildings toward his office, his secretary says "Mr. Wayne, your 2:00 apt is here." Wayne says "Thank you, who is he?" "A reporter". Mr. Wayne walks into his office lobby and Brian Singer stands up to greet Mr. Wayne "Hello Mr. Wayne, I am Clark Kent with the Daily Planet in Metropolis". Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent share a look of curiosity. Fade out.
Come on DC Comics, Marvel is kicking your a@@!

nolan screenwriting....*big relief sigh* lol...of course the 3rd won't top the dark knight because it simply has a terribly missed actor that can give it the power it needs...but still nolan has done excellent with batman, and i'll gladly let him take his time

yeah, i got it. i was just fuckin' with you :D
But to be honest. That would be pretty cool idea. Even if it didn't make the final cut of the movie. Cos' to be honest it doesn't really fit Nolans take of Batman.

Maybe he can't top Joker in the villain front. But he can come up with a better overall story for the film. I mean i would be more than thankful if one we could look back at these films and say:
" The first one really gave us a cool and wonderfully executed movie about Batman and a real inside to his mind. Oh, and the second one, with the joker ? A classic. One of the best villains ever and a nice evolution from the first movie. And 3rd and last one ? - well, i think Nolan and co. did a oustanding job bringin all the loose ends in to one cohesive story that really made you think about the journey the characters have been trough. And those last 20 minutes? Perfect."

"Cos' to be honest it doesn't really fit Nolans take of Batman." No it doesn't. Batman is about realism. Indestructible aliens aren't very realistic. Nice idea borrowed from Marvel's Hulk and Iron Man though.

Some state that this (3rd film) may not be as good as 2. Just remember, there were a ton of ppl who thought Heath was a terrible choice to play Joker and look how that turned out. Nolan is solid and his casts' usually follow. He's made an exceptional Batman Film Universe and wherever he wants to take it from here is sure to please. Thanks Nolan, bring on a 3rd.

Yea, Nolan wants to keep 'his' Batman in the real universe. It seems to me that I saw somewhere that they were both comics once. Either way, Marvel is kicking DC Comics a@@ and something needs to be done. Marvel will rule this summer with Wolverine and next summer with all the other movies.

because there is no female lead after what happened in the second one, catwoman has to be included the 3rd one, along with another villain.

Great news!
Pembrokehawk... When Nolan said "No Robin, no Batgirl", how can you think that he would put someone like SUPERMAN into the series??
At least Batgirl and Robin are human beings who CAN be potrayed realistic and serious if Nolan really wanted to, but how are you going to maintain the of realism of BB and TDK when you put a ridiculously UNREALISTIC alien and laughably over-powered superhero like Superman in the Nolan series.
Superman and any other of the JLA or the DCU that is not 100% human should stay as far away from the new series as possible.
I'd rather see Miley Cyrus as Batgirl before any happy happy joy joy reporters from Metropolis enters the scene...
Watch Batman and Robin, because then you'll know "This is why Superman works alone".
...and reading your message makes me feel like you watched IRONMAN and The incredible Hulk too much, because both these Marvel films had such endings...
