"The Tower of Terror" Film in the WorksSubmit Comment
Disney recently revealed that they will be looking at some of the rides from their theme parks to see if there is any potential to turn them into feature films. It worked with "Pirates of the Caribbean" and it might work again with "The Tower of Terror."

Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that the film, based on the Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park ride, is currently negotiating rights issues. The general storyline would revolve around a group of characters who enter a bizarre world where nothing is at it seems.

"The Tower of Terror" is a ride based on "The Twilight Zone" franchise. You can watch a promotional video for it below.

hmm...maybe it has potential...maybe it doesn't...but that doesn't mean turning rides into movies will make success....disney needs to go back a century and make some more cartoon animated flicks like they used to and stop making so many cgi animated movies...it's making me sick...not that i don't like the cgi ones...i'm just getting tired of not seeing anymore cartoon animated flicks being made...it's not like it died....not if it's plastered all over tv still

Sounds so unpromising. What will companies stoop to next? Lever 2000: The Movie? The Kleenex Story? The Trial of Maxi Tampon? Applebees: The Untold Story? Autobahn 2000AD? I'm sick of this sh*t. Syn is maybe on to something. Get back to some quality cartoons. Like CG is superior to handdrawn animation. What the f*ck ever. Some of these CG movies are so bland and interchangeable. Up, Cars, Wall-E. They all look the same and follow the same dreary boring moral trope. Disney just bought Pixar so it did not have to compete, a strategy popularized by another bunch of *ssholes: Microsoft.

They already made a tower of terror movie.... And i thought it was pretty good. no need to make another one...... I agree with"synthetic1985"... make more cartoon movies.

Planetastudios...you're right on that...if i remember correctly...they played it on disney channel almost a decade ago...when the channel was getting popular with its first original movies....like brink, can of worms, xenon, halloweentown...those were excellent kid movies...and i dunno why they don't play them anymore
