First Look: Jude Law is a Cross-Dresser in "Rage"Submit Comment
Back in May we told you that director Sally Potter was working on a film called "Rage," starring Jude Law, Judi Dench, Dianne Wiest, John Leguizamo and Steve Buscemi.

It is an expose of the lives of employees at a New York fashion house and is shot in cell-phone style over the space of seven days as an accident on a fashion show runway sparks a murder investigation.

Now, Potter has unveiled the first shot of Law, who will be playing a cross-dressing character named Minx. Here is what the director had to say about Law and the below photo:

"Part of the subject matter of 'Rage' is the ugly use of beauty in the pursuit of profit. Drugged by Marketing, sapped by fear of aging, conned by the cult of celebrity... image becomes all. Jude Law, whose beauty has sometimes been held against him as an actor, made the courageous decision to accept the role of Minx - a 'celebrity super-model' and took on a kind of hyper-beauty for this persona... a 'female' beauty which gradually unravels as the story unfolds. Strangely, the more he became a 'she,' coiffed and made-up - the more naked was his performance."

This part couldn't have been a stretch for him. His street clothes probably consist of getups like this.

Jude Law has had years of practice for this movie.

Jude Law will stretch himself in that role about as much as Christian Bale stretched himself in American Psycho

I highly, highly doubt that.
