Sylvester Stallone Confirms "Rambo 5"Posted: January 30th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Sylvester Stallone has been talking about doing another "Rambo" movie every since the release of the fourth installment last year. Now, Extra caught up with the actor who revealed that he is still pursuing a fifth movie.
"Yeah, we are doing another 'Rambo,' but the conflict is whether to do it in America or a foreign country," he said.
Almost a year ago, Harvey Weinstein revealed that he is interested in at least one more installment and said that he would love to see Stallone return. This time, back to the United States.
Stallone previously revealed a few ideas for the new movie. "I would like to take Rambo to another genre, experiment a little with the character," he said. "It would definitely not be another war movie. I can't go any further with that than what I've already done."

They have different fighting skills. Rocky is a boxer, Rambo a gut-cutting, machine gunning fool. Rambo would win.

Going back home could be fun. Maybe his family is in some kind of trouble...

The troubled family sounds too much like that Van Damme movie with Roseanna Arquette. I'd like to see a sort of return to the original idea; he comes home and is still sought for the what happened in the first film, either by the govt or perhaps someone seeking revenge. Brian Dennehey's son or something like that

As long as Stallone keeps writing it as it should and not as a sell out project it will be solid gold fun. As for the Expendables, its so pop culture for anyone to say no. I'm loving that project.

When Sly writes and directs, you can expect goods things. I hope he explores the character more in this film. And bringing Dennehey back would be cool.
