A few days ago Mickey Rouke revealed on the red carpet at the SAG Awards that he is ready to step into the ring in real life by participating in WWE's "Wrestlemania 25." He went on to name an opponent he would like to take on. "Chris Jericho, you better get in shape," he said. "Because I'm coming after your ass."
Last night, Rourke appeared on Larry King Live where Jericho was available via satellite. Jericho had some nice things to say about "The Wrestler" and Rourke's performance, but also told Rourke to be careful what he wishes for.
Rourke did his best to avoid confrontation, stating that he doesn't wrestle, and only has experience with boxing and bare-knuckle fighting. Jericho told Rourke that whether it's wrestling or boxing, he would take him on.
Now, Rourke's reps have revealed to Defamer that the actor will not be appearing on "Wrestlemania."

Aww I was lookin forward to this, well I love em both but Mickey Rourke is far cooler than Chris Jericho. Bring on Sin City 2, and boxing is wayyyyyy better than wrestling. Chris needs to show Mickey some respect they can talk all the trash they want back and forth. Neither of them needa get offended.

You know he's going to show up and hit Y2J with a metal chair in the back of the head.
Chris Jericho is the bomb! The best WWE has today. He and Rourke will be epic! His reps saying 'he wont be on Mania' is just a tease in my opinion. Although, maybe they thought it might damage his Oscar chances so they are laying low on the Mania subject for a bit. Then when the Oscars are done, I suspect they will get back to buisness.

Oh please Rourke, even if he didn't do so well overall as a pro boxer would kill Jerichoe in a bare knuckle fight. If only Rourke were younger. Chris is a joke. I love how in the end of this Rourke took the mature route and Chris came off as he is, a shameless ballerina, sorry wrestler, looking for some free publicity.

"Your world is a lot different than mine" - actually they're both fake but ok. Funny stuff but Mickey's no joke with the boxing sh*t...golden boy might want to watch it. maybe Mickey will go on another booze bender, lose all control and take him out for real. :)

I don't car for Wrestling but I have noticed that pro wrestlers either think to highly of themselves or get offended by any little thing. Notice how calm Mickey is, compare that to Chris who looks like he's about to pop a vein. Either way "The Wrestler" was awesome.

It's Jericho's character for gods sake. He has to be like that.

lmao! what a joke. does Jericho really think anyone buys that crap they call wrestling on WWE? Rourke could beat him to a pulp.
