A New "Bonnie and Clyde" Film

A New "Bonnie and Clyde" FilmSubmit Comment
The story of Bonnie and Clyde is getting a retelling, with Hilary Duff (War Inc) and Kevin Zegers (The Jane Austen Book Club) in negotiations to play the infamous 1930s bank robbers. Tonya S. Holly (When I Find the Ocean) is directing "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde" and producing the indie drama.

Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were Depression-era lovers and outlaws whose exploits captured the public's imagination. Their story has hit the big screen several times, with 1967's "Bonnie and Clyde," starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, considered a classic.

The makers are stressing that the new film is not a remake and are promising to showcase times in the couple's lives not seen onscreen before. Holly first became interested in the story of the fugitive lovers after finding old newspaper articles about their exploits in an abandoned house on her family's property.

"Bonnie" is scheduled to shoot in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

Eh. Looked good until I saw it's getting directed by a woman who will likely turn the historical story into a boring love epic with sparse and poor action scenes. I'll wait for the IMDB page so I don't have to see it to know it sucks. What's next? The Ted Bundy Love Story? Scarface in Love? When Dillinger met Susie Q?

that's Duff??...scary how fast she grew....i guess we can expect miley cyrus to look like this at this age

Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers? Kind of a step down from Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. Then again, this whole film sounds like one big step down from the 1967 masterpiece.

hey Metafact...u said it!....just like i said about the karate kid remake...there's nothing like an original...and that goes for anything

Okay Okay lets analyze this for a minute here. Bonnie and Clyde cant be no soft easy going feature, its gotta be in your face kick ass action! Hilary Duff (although very hot) I dont think can pull it off, shes to good. I cant see her yelling "f*ck You!" to a gang of cops while shooting a gun and while wearing a top with her tits half-way out. Even though that would be awesome! it just dosent seem plausible to work. I like the idea of making this film because it could be great! a total bitchin' ride but they need to make sure that its not a goody goody flick and that Hilary can kick some ass & take names. She cant be scarred to "upset" all the 12-14 yr olds who love her. Kevin Zegers I can see working out, he has a look about him that could pull the Clyde character to be.

Despite the fact that: a) we need a new movie about bonnie and clyde as much as we need an ebola outbreak; and b) Duff and Zegers donīt look their parts and surely canīt act them, itīs gonna be cool to watch that Disney bitch get shot to sh*t by the FBI in the end of the movie.

Hilary Duff = Faye Dunaway??? OK, what dimension have I fallen into? Also, how is this NOT a remake? If not, then why the comparison?

Theyll probably make it set in present day and pay a famous rapper to create a song about Bonnie & Clyde and have it playing like they do for most of the remakes...especially when it stars people like hilary duff..either that or theyll have hilary duff score the whole movie with her songs, singing about how she was nervous to go up to Clyde in the mall because he was with all his friends but he looked her way and smiled so she sent a text to all her friends about what happened...and then they went on some robberies..and then the chorus....cant wait
