50 Cent has Bought Eight Sundance Scripts

50 Cent has Bought Eight Sundance ScriptsSubmit Comment
Rapper 50 Cent already owns a record label and a clothing line, and will now add a film production company to his empire which has earned him about $150 million between June 2007 and June 2008. About $100 million of it came from the sale of VitaminWater.

Promoting his new venture at the Sundance Film Festival, 50 Cent announced that he has launched Cheetah Vision and has no concerns about starting a new business during a global financial crisis. "I don't think it will affect me as much as it will the other people that are out there because I'm not afraid to finance some of these things myself if I have to," he told Reuters.

50 Cent's Cheetah Vision has already bought eight scripts and is currently planning to produce "The Dance," which will star the rapper and actor Nicolas Cage.

"(The script) was previously passed around a little bit but both me and Nicolas Cage had an interest in the film so it will still happen," said 50 Cent. "He plays the founder of a boxing program, and I play a fighter who goes to state prison."

Great... It sounds like Oscar material to... WTF Now there are going to be as many roles as 50 Cent wants to make for himself! We're f*cked man, we're f*ckin' f*cked, that's it game over! I bet he thought "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" was a good movie too. What is he going to make, Gangz of the Dead 2, Platinum Bullet: Wolf in the Hood, Bloodsuckaz from the Crypt: West Coast Vampires... C'mon! We hate you dude!

Coming this fall from Walt Disney Pictures: "Freaky Friday 2: Walk the Line or Die Trying". Joaquin Phoenix is a moderately successful, two-time Academy Award-nominated actor. 50 Cent is a hardened, Grammy-snubbed rap star with a violent past. When both men decide to call it quits on their respective careers, something strange happens: they wake up in each others bodies! Now, Joaquin thinks he's a funky-fresh rapper, while Fiddy's turned into a professional thespian. And they're about to find out that trading places ain't all it's cracked up to be. Along the way, they find love, friendship, and a truckload of smuggled marijuana. You'll laugh, you'll laugh some more, and then you'll cry (from laughing so hard)! It's like "Face/Off," only interracial! Starring Joaquin Phoneix as 50 Cent and 50 Cent as Joaquin Phoenix. Co-starring Rob Schneider. It's "Freaky Friday 2: Walk the Line or Die Trying." Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. Rated PG-13. Coming April 1, 2009.

don't worry everyone...it's not over yet...there's a reason for all these 'dissappointments'...clearly lots of actors and musicians take their passion for granted and then think they're the sh*t...but it's quite alright...in 50 cent's case as well as a lot of other sh*tty rappers out there, you only have to ask yourself one question...is this the kind of sh*t that'll live on in the next 20-30 years? f*ck NO! lol...it's obvious where good artists and bad artists stand...dr. dre's music will outlive 50 cent's forever...i mean come on, dr. dre is the reason 50 cent is where he is now...so yea that's just my opinion...it'll keep gettin worse, but the point is to focus on the good actors and musicians more than the bad...if i had to answer, i'd say the reason the sh*tty songs of the 2nd half of this decade are only popular because the younger generation doesn't know any better...music effects and what not has already gone way beyond impressive...now adays i think is just a matter of 'who can be more original'

Whatever... How is this any worse than some of the crap that the Majors are producing these days? If he wants to waste his time doing the same who cares...it's not like I have to watch it.

btw MrSammich....your response was hilarous too...as a musician/writer/artist...i look at that song 'technology' and was so unimpressed with justin timberlake, it was like i could've easily written those lyrics...and then he tries to sound like michael jackson's style of singing....'she wants it, dah, dah, she wants it' lol...yea justin timberlake isn't black...he needs to go back to boy bands...and 50 cent desperately needs to buy more of dr. dre's 'million dollar a piece' hit beats....and then he'll measure up to snoop dogg's range...maybe lol

Cool as Ice was freakin' hilarious, but not as funny as Ice by Ice, his autobiography. You can tell he wrote it himself. 50-who?
