Daniel Craig is Ashamed of His Past Films

Daniel Craig is Ashamed of His Past FilmsSubmit Comment
Daniel Craig first started acting back in 1992, but became a big name after 2004 with such films as "Layer Cake" and "Munich." And then he won the prestigious James Bond role, which instantly turned him into a household name.

So now that Craig is a big star, he admits that he is very embarrassed of his earlier work. In fact, he says that his past movies are "crap."

Speaking to Jon Stewart, Craig said: "There was a time when I'd go into Blockbusters and if they had a film of mine on the shelf I used to throw it under the counter. They would always be back there next time I came, though."

Which movies do you think he is talking about? Is it "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider"?

So is John Cusack. Who cares? Move on.

"all his movies suck. Especially the Bond films." Not 'The Jacket'. he had a minor role, but I feel even Pitt, reprising his 12 Monkeys role, could've done better. Artists of every stripe ALWAYS say this. It's some of sort of coping mechanism. A painter paints a great portrait. Ten years later, the painter is farmore developed in his craft. He looks back with disdain and feels ashamed. it's all very normal, but entirely personal and subjective, unless the artist really did suck back then, so I guess Craig will always feel this way.

fair enough, until Layer Cake he wasn't much

Bond is horrible now. Granted, it is not the worst that it has ever been, but I think he still needs to make some more trips to Blockbuster to toss some dvds.

Thanks for the breaking news. An actor ashamed of past stupid roles? Do tell this unique bit of news I already heard on the Daily Show. Isn't it industry standard to not like your old work?

Craig is one of the best actors around. His role as James Bond is the best out of the franchises history. Ever seen Road to Perdition anyone?? maybe you should check out his performance in that movie because it was terrific. remember, this is "my opinion" its obvious know of you wont agree with me. so im ready to read all the sh*t you throw at me on these comment boards

Road to Perdition was pretty bad. The only good part was when he dropped an F-bomb talking to a little kid.

So...this is what "stupid" sounds like?

Who cares, a lot of actors/actresses regret things they did. We all regret things we did, the fact is he got $$$ in the bank so he cant be to upset.

HE IS THE WORST BOND EVER!! even worst then Lazenby from HMSS.He just doesn't have the bond look but he could do better if the writers gave bond his mojo back.

Yeah, daniel craig is a magnificent and stylish actor although admittedly something like lara croft is below him. To those who say he is a bad bond, i would say he is arguably one of the most stylish and ruthless bonds ever. we all have to start somewhere so i don't think an actor should be ashamed of early work. to "joeysammartino" you suck man. He is one of the best actors. Have you even seen layer cake? that is a brilliant film. Casino royale is just so well done and now he is an enormous star and is spewing out some great films. do not bag out this fantastic actor bitches! and his voice is just sex.
