"Angels & Demons" is Shorter and More Action-PackedSubmit Comment
Sci-Fi Wire had a chat with producer Brian Grazer who said that the upcoming "Angels & Demons" film is preparing for test screenings. And since he has seen the latest version, Grazer confirmed that the duration of the film will be much shorter than its predecessor "The Da Vinci Code," which pushed two and a half hours.

"It's down to under two hours," said Grazer. "I'm having a test screening tonight."

He added that "Angels & Demons" is still as faithful to Dan Brown's book as "The Da Vinci Code," but "Angels" provided more opportunities for visual thrills. "It has a lot of action, though, whereas 'The Da Vinci Code' had less action, was more static," Grazer said. "This has much more propulsion to it."

In "Da Vinci," symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) and agent Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tatou) go from scholar to scholar discussing art history. In "Angels," Langdon must stop a terrorist plot against the Vatican.

This movie will do no justice to the book. Angels and Demons is much greater than The Da Vinci Code and they're turning it into a summer action movie. Looks like it'll be as boring as The Da Vinci Code movie.

the problem is a moment in the story, even in the book it was a little bit stupid (those who have read understand what I mean.. with the helicopter :s) I hope it will be great..

I actually thought THE DA VINCI CODE movie was pretty underrated, which is not to say I thought it was great but I thought it was good. And Dannoral, I won't spoil it either, but yeah that scene is retarded. Though I'm really looking forward to seeing it on film.
