Brendan Fraser Discusses "GI Joe" Cameo

Brendan Fraser Discusses "GI Joe" CameoSubmit Comment
During a press junket for "Inkheart," Brendan Fraser spoke about reuniting with "The Mummy" director on the upcoming "GI Joe" movie in which Fraser has a cameo. "I was there for a morning," he explained. "It was a cameo."

Fraser said that he would not be playing the show's resident Marine, Gung Ho, as was previously reported. "Let me get something straight," he stated. "I'm not Gung Ho. I don't know what you've read, but that is not the name of my character. If you look him up, with all due respect, he looks like a refugee from the Village People, and, no, I did not attire myself as such."

Fraser added: "I will tell you that they gave me a really cool motorcycle to ride. It's a sight gag. I show up, and you're supposed to go, 'Hey!'"

Asked if riding a motorcycle meant he would be playing one of the Dreadnoughts—villainous mercenaries who battle the Joe team. Fraser mumbled, "I'm not talking about that."

I thought it was confirmed that Fraser was Rock'n'Roll after that bit of McConnell news a while ago.

Ah Sommers and Frasier, a forgettable team if there ever was one. Frasier talking about his cameo in a film like Titanic is like someone bragging about being an extra in a supository commercial. I mean, this guy has starred in how many lackluster films as of late? His star faded ages ago. He's getting old. He had raw sex appeal with Tarzan, ok, and he hit a middling climax with the Mummy, but after that he's played little more than metronome to the orchestra of good films that have appeared in the last five years or so. Just disappear already. Take your JTCOFE and Inkheart with you. Kids with goofy pencil erasers might like your films, but no one else does or ever will. Either get serious or vaporize.

I meant cameo in Gi Joe, not f*cking titanic. Where the f*ck did that come from? Oh yeah, tyler's remark about Martha Stewart polishing brass on the Titanic. I was thinking of that memorable line when considering Frasier's cameo as some Joe character kids refused to collect back in the eighties.

"He had raw sex appeal with Tarzan" He never played Tarzan. And his name's Fraser, not Frasier.
