Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell are "Iron Man 2" VillainsSubmit Comment
Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler, Sin City) and Sam Rockwell (Choke, Snow Angels) are in talks to star as the villains in "Iron Man 2," being directed by Jon Favreau.

Marvel has been keeping a very tight lid on the script for the sequel, being written by Justin Theroux, but it is known that Rourke would play a tattooed Russian heavy named Ivan who becomes Whiplash, a man with deadly, technologically enhanced coils.

Rockwell would play Justin Hammer, a multibillionaire businessman and a rival of industrialist Anthony Stark, AKA Iron Man, being played by a returning Robert Downey Jr.

Rourke and Rockwell would be joining a cast that also includes the returning Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle, who is replacing Terrence Howard.

Another part - one for Stark's assistant Natasha - is still open. The project is eyeing a spring start in Manhattan Beach. Paramount will release the movie May 7th, 2010.

Both actors are solid and I can't not support my neighbor Rourke.

I'm with MK ULTRA. Rourke was over do for a comeback. Kinda makes sense they would leave the Mandarin for the last one.

If FOX delays Watchmen, There Will Be Blood

‘If FOX delays Watchmen, There Will Be Blood’ ---- no, if Iron Man 2 is delayed for any silly reason [i.e. Terrance Howard sues to keep part], f*ck your boycott and prepare for a real riot like in Oakland

worst previews is wrong super hero hype is reporting that rourke is crimson dynamo which makes a hell of a lot more sense

I heard he was in talks for Crimson Dynamo. Not having been that familiar with IM, I looked the dude up and it's another armored suit badass! Omg, yay! Can't get too redundant with those. One of the reasons that IM was pretty weak with me was that all the buildup went to hell with Iron Monger. It just really makes me wonder if anyone else is dead tired of all the sh*tty "hero+one-up = villain" cliche in all these Marvel movies lately. Wolverine - Sabertooth Spidey 3 - Venom Iron Man - Iron Monger Hulk - Abomination I know there's probably others I missed. Oh well, to hell with them all.

bugmenot has an excellent point its very much true. Marvel is not creative at all anymore. Kudos dude!!
