George Clooney in a Marvel Film?

George Clooney in a Marvel Film?Submit Comment
Today we have some a simple meeting between several filmmakers, which has been taken to mean much more than it probably is. According to /Film, George Clooney was spotted in Hollywood having a business meeting with director Ridley Scott (Gladiator) and Marvel Studios chairman David Maisel.

There are many Marvel films that still need stars and directors, like "The First Avenger: Captain America," "The Avengers" and the rumored "Dr. Strange" movie. While we have no idea what the meeting was about, it seems that Marvel is planning something with both Clooney and Scott.

We should mention that Paris Hilton was also at that meeting, but according to tabloid magazines, Hilton is currently dating Clooney. So, I doubt we'll be soon seeing her in a Marvel film.

Do you think Clooney would be a good Captain America or Dr. Strange?

Marvel has a lot more to offer than just hero stories, I bet this is something based on a graphic novel that they want to get Clooney attached to, because Clooney isn't really good for a spandex super hero in my opinion.

That's not true. Dr. Strange could be a great fit for him, and he could bring the necessary charisma to a role that requires it. However, I would also go for Clooney's direction of one of Marvel's more serious properties.

Ridley Scott -YES. George Clooney - NO. He had his chance in Batman and it sucked. Dr. Strange MAYBE MAAAYYBE! but its a big IF and IF he could it might redeam him in eyes of superhero fans. He just needs to stick with comedies and dramas. This realm of science fiction isnt really his bag. Paris Hilton KEEP HER THE f*ck OUTTA THE SUPERHERO MOVIE REALM! NO!

Holy Crap! WV-Films, I both honor you for knowing Rom, and respectfully tell you to shut the hell up and stop dissing one of the great unsung heroes of Marvel Comics.
