Moviegoers Choose Most Anticipated Films of 2009Submit Comment
According to a recent movie-goer survey by Fandango, the most anticipated blockbuster of 2009 among women is "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," while men have selected "Star Trek" as their No 1 must-see flick of next year.

While the two Top 10 lists are very similar, it pretty interesting to see that women have no interest in "Watchmen" or "GI Joe." Men, on the other hand, have no interest in "Night at the Museum 2" but are looking forward to "New Moon," the sequel to "Twilight."

Take a look at the lists below and let us know which movies you're looking forward to the most. For me, some of the films that I would love to see that didn't make the lists are "The Road," "Bruno," "Shutter Island" and "Avatar."

According to Women:
1. "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince": 25%
2. "New Moon": 15%
3. "Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen": 11%
4. "Angels & Demons": 9%
5. "X-Men Origins: Wolverine": 7%
6. "Star Trek": 6%
7. "Public Enemies": 5%
8. "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian": 4%
9. "The Lovely Bones": 3%
10. "Where the Wild Things Are": 2%

According to Men:
1. "Star Trek": 23%
2. "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen": 17%
3. "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince": 14%
4. "X-Men Origins: Wolverine": 9%
5. "Terminator Salvation": 7%
6. "Watchmen": 7%
7. "Angels & Demons": 5%
8. "Public Enemies": 3%
9. "G.I. Joe": 3%
10. "New Moon": 3%

Why isn't Avatar higher up? That movie will be great.

What about Monsters Vs. Aliens, Up, Ice Age 3D, The Princess and The Frog, The Fast and The Forious, Avatar, 2012, The Wolfman, Sherlock Holmes, Alvin 2, G-Fotce, Funny People, Shutter Island, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, A Christmas Carol and Planet 51... I think that some of these, especially the first ones are underestimated and will be in Top 10 next year ;) PS: Happy New Year Everybody!

who gives a f*ck about watchman or x-men or that twilight sequel or star trek. Angels and Demons and Transformers 2 all the way for 09!

Angels and Demons? Really? Did nobody see The DaVinci Code? It really wasn't very good and doesn't give me high hopes for the prequel.

Transformers 2, Wolverine, Avatar, G. I. Joe, Sherlock holmes, Monsters Vs Aliens, Alvin N Chipmunks 2, and Maybe Star Trek. and I know it will probably be cheesy be I'm kind of looking forward to the legend of Chun-Li. Call me crazy :p and Maybe I Love You Man if it's not to raunchy.

None of the above. Knowing sounds interesting but Cage has a very poor record. Planet 51. The Box. The Surrogates because I like Willis. A Perfect Getaway perhaps but will probably suck. Sherlock Holmes. The Taking of Pelham 123. Avatar. Public Enemies. Lesser interest of a guilty nature: Transformers, T4 and Star Wreck.

watchmen, transformers 2, avatar, g.i. joe, dragonball, new moon (maybe), wolverine, terminator 4, fast and furious, paul blart, my bloody valentine, friday the 13th, saw 6, star trek, wolf man, dance flick, and witch mountain, also maybe the new halloween sequel H2. i think 09 will be a good year for movies.
