Who Might Derail the "Arrested Development" Movie?

Who Might Derail the "Arrested Development" Movie?Submit Comment
It was recently announced by creator Mitchell Hurwitz and producer/narrator Ron Howard that they are both working on an "Arrested Development" movie. But even though that's great news, there are still lots of hurdles ahead, like getting back the now-famous cast.

Collider chatted with Hurwitz, who said that he already has eight ouf of the nine actors on board, which means that one person stands between the raging fans and their highly-anticipated movie. So who could that one person be?

The site asked Hurwitz about a rumor that either Will Arnett or Michael Cera are the ones holding out. Hurwitz replied: "I don't want to talk about who is holding out right now because we might still work that out and I don't want to pressure anyone through the press. Although I will say that Will Arnett is gung-ho, so there's a big clue!"

So Michael Cera is the culprit, but that comes as no surprise since fans have accused him of playing the George Michael character in every single movie he has ever done. Out of fear of typecasting, Cera might refuse to come back to the series that made him famous.

It's not typecasting if he's returning to the character who he's being typecast as in the first place! And it just goes to show how shallow Cera is, Arrested Development gave him a name and now he's not returning to it? Good Riddance, no one really cared about George Michael anyway.

I like him a lot as an actor but thats f*cked! I hate when celebrities forget their roots because they've made some hit films or hit records. THIS BETTER HAPPEN, even though I'm still not sure where the plot will go.

Typecasting? LOL! At least in AD I he was funny and interesting. In everything since he practically fades into the wallpaper. 15 minutes and counting...5..4..3...

If Cera's going to walk away from the show that made his acting style 'not so annoying' and 'not completely bland' he deserves to get word raped on movie sites...I guess he has better things to do like trying to make that look at his feet while talking out of the side of his mouth a career that lasts longer than Pauly Shore's.
