USA Today had the chance to speak to Mickey Rourke (Sin City, The Wrestler) about his upcoming movie, "13," which is a remake of the French film "13 Tzameti." In addition, the paper also unveiled the first photo of Rourke from the movie.
"13" centers on a man who steals a mysterious package that promises to pay out a fortune. Rourke plays a Texan broken out of a Mexican prison and forced to play a game of high-stakes Russian roulette in the upcoming film 13.
"I told them my character has been in jail in Mexico, and he won't give up the information of where the money he stole is buried," says Rourke of Jesse James Jefferson, the West Texas cowboy he invented to pump some juice into his part. "They beat the crap out of him every day."
In addition to Rourke, the movie also stars Jason Statham, 50 Cent, Ray Winstone and Ray Liotta. Director Gela Babluani is returning to remake his own 2005 movie.

Yes there was a guy from prison (although not Mexican) in the original.
