"Halloween" Sequel Gets a PosterPosted: December 16th, 2008 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

Dimension Films (Weinstein Company) has sent over the official announcement of the "Halloween" sequel, called "H2," which will once again be written and directed by Rob Zombie. Attached to the email was a teaser poster for the movie. You can check it out by clicking on the link below.
"H2" will pick up at the exact moment the first movie stopped and follow the aftermath of Michael Myers murderous rampage through the eyes of heroine Laurie Strode.
Bob Weinstein stated: "Following the success of 2007's 'Halloween,' we are thrilled to be back in business with Rob Zombie, bringing a sequel to theaters. The fans have made it clear - and we agree - that they feel the franchise is in great hands with Rob Zombie."
Rob Zombie said: "I am very excited to be working with Bob Weinstein again and returning to the world of 'Halloween.' The remake laid the groundwork, now it's time to really take Michael Myers to the next level. I believe we've just barely scratched the surface of where we can take this series."
Last year's "Halloween" scored the highest Labor Day weekend opening ever with a record-breaking $30.6 million in its first four days of release and went on to gross nearly $60 million at the domestic box office in 2007.

They also already made one called Halloween, and then last year made another with that same title. Imagine the thought that went into this one though...
"We can't call it Halloween 2! That was already done... we gotta call it... H2. Yeah, H2. We'll even save money on ads that print per word."

Rob Zombie did the remake justice by adding more to the character of Michael Myers and to have Zombie back on board for its sequel brings a lot of joy to his fan's ears. Zombie's built up a very good repertoire in the past few years with both "House of 1,000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects". I doubt he'll do anything similar to the original "Halloween 2" which was a cinematic disaster and ignited a slew of shitty sequels.
