I wasn't expecting much for the Dark Knight, but I think it should've at least gotten one other nomination (best director).

The Dark Knight is going to get way more Oscard noms than Globe noms. The Globes are much different in thier choosing process.

Mad Men or Dexter should win this year. I think the movie nominations are weak this year. Last year Atonement won and it was great but there were two other movies even better that were overlooked. I also hate how the categories are drama and musical/comedy when a great movie can be a combination of genres. I can't believe Mamma Mia and In Bruges are nominated instead of Tropic Thunder or something!

Heath Ledger did to the Joker, what Anthony Hopkins did to Hannibal Lecter in The silence of the lambs. Of course its going to be an academy award winner.

From this list id pick either Ron Howard or David Fincher for best director. Danny Boyle is great, but slumdog millonaire? come on. Christopher Nolan should have been nominated alone for the fact that he put batman in the oscar buzz. when else in history would a filmmaker put batman there?

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE IN A MOTION PICTURE * Tom Cruise (Tropic Thunder) * Robert Downey Jr. (Tropic Thunder) Wow...this is a better joke than any of the gags in that heap of sh*t film.
